Questions We Hear Before Every First Visit

No hedging, no fine print. Here is exactly what to expect — before the truck is in your driveway.

/ Pricing & Estimates

Do you charge for an estimate?

Diagnostic visits are billed at a flat service call rate, applied toward the repair if you proceed. You will know the full cost before any work begins — no surprises.

How is pricing structured?

We price by the job, not the hour. You receive a written quote before work starts. That number does not change unless the scope changes — and if it does, we explain why before we continue.

Are there hidden fees or after-hours surcharges?

Emergency calls carry a disclosed after-hours rate, stated clearly before dispatch. Outside of that, the quoted price is the final price. No fuel fees, no material markups buried in the invoice.

/ Response & Availability

How quickly can you arrive?

Same-day service is available for most calls booked before noon. For standard scheduling, we offer morning and afternoon windows and confirm your slot the evening before.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Active leaks, burst pipes, sewer backups, and total loss of water pressure qualify. If you are unsure, call — we will tell you honestly whether it warrants an emergency dispatch or can wait until morning.

Are you available nights and weekends?

Our emergency line runs 24 hours, seven days a week. Routine scheduling runs Monday through Saturday. The number is the same either way: (404) 555-0187.

/ Licensing & Standards

Are you licensed and insured in Georgia?

Yes. We hold a current Georgia plumbing contractor's license and carry full liability and workers' compensation insurance. Documentation is available on request — ask before we begin.

Do you pull permits for larger jobs?

When a permit is required by code, we pull it — not you. We handle the paperwork, schedule the inspection, and ensure the work closes properly with the city.

/ Working in Historic Homes

Can you work on older plumbing systems?

Homes in this area often carry galvanized steel, cast iron, or early copper lines. We assess the system before recommending replacement — sometimes a targeted repair is the right call, not a full repipe.

Will work damage my original floors or trim?

We use drop cloths on every job. Access cuts are made only where necessary and discussed with you first. If a repair requires opening a wall, we explain scope and restoration options before touching anything.

Still Have Questions? We Answer the Phone.

If your question is not here, call or text (404) 555-0187. A licensed plumber — not an answering service — picks up.
